lyrics

VERSE 1
I’m staying inside until it’s over, looking for some ice cold company
Cause you know we might be good friends matched as strangers
Do you think you could take me there? Baby Summer weekend’s here

I got it good, I can barely think yeah
I can’t wait to meet you
Cause hell is getting hot, the flames are getting too hot
Too hot for a devil like me

CHORUS
Cool me down, call me up, riding it out on the heatwave
Cool me down, call me up, riding it out on the heatwave
Cool me down, call me up, riding it out on the heatwave
(Ahhh)

VERSE 2
Back in the swamp, It’s me and the dogs
Out in the dark, dripping with the windows up
Give me the arctic in your apartment
Cause living on Mars, it’s hotter than the people say
In your arms until it’s over, we’ll have a cold one
Party til the Winter comes
We’ll fuck it up for the heatwave, grind it out for the heatwave

CHORUS & INSTRUMENTAL
(Heatwave)

VERSE 3
Back in the swamp, it’s me and the dogs
Checking for calls, hoping that you hit me up
I want the ice age in your apartment
Welcome me in, cause hell is getting hot again
In your arms until it’s over, we’ll have a cold one
Party til the winter comes
We’ll fuck it up for the heatwave, grind it out for the heatwave

CHORUS
(Oh call me anytime)(Cool me down)
Cause hell is getting hot, the flames are getting too hot
Too hot for a devil like me
Baby baby baby baby baby
Tell me that you’ll call me call me call me call me call me
(Heatwave)
